For the first time, The Tower House Sanctuary opens to the public for a special ribbon-cutting weekend celebrating art, architecture, music, storytelling, and imagination.

Hidden in the forests of Saugerties, New York, The Tower House is one of the Hudson Valley’s most extraordinary artistic homes: a five-story sculptural environment built by hand over fifteen years by John Kahn from stone, timber, slate, copper, and reclaimed materials.

Guests will have the rare opportunity to explore the house, meet John Kahn, hear the stories behind its creation, and experience intimate performances by internationally acclaimed Carnegie Hall pianist Katya Grineva.

Weekend Program

Saturday and Sunday feature identical programs:
• Official Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
• Matinee Concert by Carnegie Hall pianist Katya Grineva
• The Tower House Sanctuary Open for Viewing
• Conversation with John Kahn: The Story Behind The Tower House
• Closing Afternoon Concert by Carnegie Hall pianist Katya Grineva

Benefiting

Every ticket supports Katya Concerts for Kids Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit bringing classical music and Carnegie Hall access to underserved children.

Katya Grineva is an internationally acclaimed Carnegie Hall concert pianist whose performances at The Tower House Sanctuary offer an intimate preview of her upcoming Carnegie Hall concert.

We look forward to welcoming visitors to The Tower House through future public programs and special events.
